Pham Ngoc Thach University of Medicine (Campus 2): A Trusted Contractor, Delivered on Schedule

On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of Vietnam's National Day (September 2), Ho Chi Minh City is expected to inaugurate four major projects with a total investment of VND 27.325 trillion. Currently, the key construction packages of all four projects are in the final stage of completion, with contractors working intensively to ensure the projects are ready for operation.

According to Mr. Luong Ho Ngoc Thanh, Deputy Director of Project Management Unit No.1 under the Ho Chi Minh City Management Board for Civil and Industrial Construction Investment Projects, the Pham Ngoc Thach University of Medicine Construction Project (Campus 2), located in Tan Nhut Commune, Ho Chi Minh City, has met all conditions for its official inauguration.

The project has a total investment of VND 2.425 trillion, comprising three main buildings and supporting facilities. The teaching and training building is a newly constructed 10-storey structure (1 ground floor and 9 upper floors) with a total gross floor area exceeding 77,000 square metres. The administration, library and sports complex also consists of 10 storeys, while the parking building has 8 storeys.

The joint venture of Construction and Building Materials Joint Stock Company (CBM), Hanoi Housing Investment and Development Joint Stock Company No. 52, and Construction Joint Stock Company No. 5 was awarded the construction package with a contract value of VND 2.059153 trillion. According to the joint venture's representative, all supporting facilities are currently undergoing final finishing works. The main buildings have been completed in full and are ready to serve teaching, learning and research activities.

At the Phu Tho Circus and Multi-purpose Performance Center Project, the joint venture of Luu Nguyen Construction Co., Ltd. and Construction Corporation No.1 (CC1) is also accelerating the completion of the remaining works. Mr. Dinh Van Hung, Deputy General Director of CC1, shared that since construction began in April 2023, the project has achieved major milestones on schedule, including topping out as planned and completing the structural works in September 2024. This project requires exceptionally high technical standards, with the entire structure cast in reinforced concrete on-site rather than using brickwork, making it one of the most modern multi-purpose civil structures in Vietnam.

The Phu Tho Circus and Multi-purpose Performance Center has a total investment of VND 1.395 trillion. The project includes two shared basement levels, a 12-storey circus and performance building, a 2-storey administration, service and restaurant block, installation of stage equipment for a 2,000-seat performance hall, and various supporting infrastructure works.

Regarding the Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road No. 3 Project, Mr. Bui Manh Hung, representing the joint venture responsible for Package XL1 (including Bac Trung Nam Infrastructure Construction JSC, Trung Chinh Trading and Construction Co., Ltd., Bridge Construction JSC No.75, Dinh An Group Co., Ltd., and Ha Do 1 JSC), stated that contractors are making every effort to accelerate construction of the connecting road to Nhon Trach Bridge.

Package XL1 plays a vital role in connecting the Ho Chi Minh City – Long Thanh – Dau Giay Expressway with Nhon Trach Bridge. Although the bridge has been open to traffic since 30 April 2025, it requires synchronized operation with Package XL1 to maximize the project's overall effectiveness.

The Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road No.3 project has a total length of 47.11 kilometres and a total investment of VND 22.41138 trillion, while Package XL1 alone is valued at more than VND 2.1 trillion.

Meanwhile, the Specialized Project Management Board (formerly the Vung Tau Regional Investment Project Management Board) announced that the construction and equipment installation package (excluding the Whale God monument and landmark structures) under the Thuy Van Coastal Boulevard Redevelopment Project in Vung Tau City, with a total investment of VND 1.094 trillion, has completed its final construction works.

The package, undertaken by Coteccons Construction Joint Stock Company, is valued at VND 485.035 billion and was completed in less than nine months. The project is expected to create a modern, distinctive and attractive new appearance for Vung Tau's most beautiful beachfront area.
